The open floor plan of this Martha Bute, of Bute King Architects, designed home spills out into the landscape through steel windows and doors providing the clean and casual feel the clients desired. Entertaining spaces were a top priority throughout the house to enjoy with friends and family. Johnny Steele Design continued this feeling throughout the landscape with garden rooms accented by water and the house’s clean lines. Sculptural pieces by James Surles and David Borgerding were thoughtfully placed to create interest in the landscape. The owners, assisted by Susan Blankenship, were able to utilize existing pieces in the home, blended with new, to create a fresh pallet throughout. Barry Brown of Brownridge Builders led the team that built this home in 2015.
